snow storm!

Colorado is the best state ever. I did a puzzle today. -Finn Santoro, helping me blog today +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Holy snow! It's Sunday afternoon and we have not left the house all weekend. We've had lots of dance parties - I think we've heard Uptown Funk at least 87 times. I've watched hours of Fixer Upper, done loads and loads of laundry, played in the snow, we did every puzzle we own, made cookies and watched a few movies. This is the first big storm we've had since we arrived. I am hoping for a snow day tomorrow!  We're getting better at the snowman building. 6am with this guy. How can I be mad at that face?! 7am with this guy... Emmett thought Sophia was hilarious peeking at him under the gate. Big belly laughs. His favorite activity - "hiding" under the dining room table

february

It snowed all night and we woke up to lots of snow on the ground. It's President's Day and we are all home today. Looks like we are going sledding! Everyone is healthy - hooray - and here are some random pictures from the week... Nightime Starbucks run with grandma. It's fun living in the city and walking all kinds of places. Emmett snoozing at school - they don't have any cribs at the school, and the babies, even the tiny ones, sleep on these futons. He fell off once and never again :) Valentine's Day puzzle from Didi - thank you! Making eggs with Grandma. Sophia is obsessed with cracking eggs. She is our go-to...and she doesn't get any shell. It's pretty impressive. Drinking from a sippy cup - my baby is getting big way too fast.

grandma's in town

One perk of being closer to the midwest and the east coast: more visitors! Grandma is here for a week and we are happy. Noah flew to San Diego yesterday for a couple days to get things set up for our next tenants. In the meantime, I'm hoping for a full week of sick-free kids. Poor Finn really got some crud last week. He missed half a week of school and really just started feeling (and acting) like himself yesterday. Noah and I got out for a date on Saturday night. We walked to an italian restaurant in our neighborhood which was really fun. We were DUE for a night out. Pics from the weekend... My wild child at the Children's Museum Checking in a patient at the vet clinic Serious bubbles I love this one - look at Finn's face, he is controlling the size of the bubble Of course you-know-who had to get in on the action Bath buddies Had his first cinnamon roll this weekend. No surprise...loved it.

our first ski trip to monarch mountain

First ski trip is officially in the books. We drove three hours on Friday night, through lots of snow, and arrived to the cute little town of Salida for the weekend. We rented a small house that was about 20 minutes from Monarch. Noah got some good snowboarding in, the kids made their first official snowman, they took a ski lesson, we had a good dinner in downtown Salida and made it home to catch the last quarter of the Super Bowl. Lots of pics all out of order, but no time to fix! :) So proud of Finnster for trying something new! Shoveling the backyard. Sophia's snowman Noah teaching Finn to ski. It was dumping snow all day on Saturday. Fun in the yard Go Finn go Sophia's skis were so tiny and adorable Sunset on the drive home Cheeeeese More scenery. This is a pretty beautiful state. Lights out for S on the way home. Snow bunny! Taking a breather No breather for Soph-dawg Kisses for daddy before he he...
