pre-halloween fun

We had a fun weekend of pre-Halloween celebrating. Teller had it's big annual Fall Carnival on Saturday afternoon. The kids flew through 40 tickets in an hour on carnival games and saw Finn's principal get a pie in the face.  Peyton Manning here playing some FatCats. Pop the stuffed potato head into the bin. We had a moment of weakness on Saturday afternoon. The contract seemed to keep it together for the rest of the weekend.  Sunday we went to The Children's Museum. I didn't realize they were having a huge Trick-or-Treat event and the Santoros were the only ones not in costume. Emmett loved seeing Curious George (behind them) and then he got close and freaked out. Everyone look at the camera and you can eat a candy!!! Friday night family movie with Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

No school!

The kids were out of school Monday and Tuesday this week. Between a babysitter and Noah we somehow got it all covered. Finn had Lilah over yesterday afternoon and Noah held math class. :) Learning subtraction - double digits A little fruit and cheese board for a snack

a low key weekend in denver

Well Finn had the stomach flu this week, and I've had a terrible cold for over a week, so it was nice to have a low key weekend at home. We walked to Cherry Tomato for dinner on Saturday night - a new to us place. We decorated pumpkins with some neighbor kids and Sophia got her costume - Super Girl! Don't try telling her she's Wonder Woman, she is NOT Wonder Woman. She has a major obsession with super heroes right now. Taking our pumpkins to Sofia and Oscar's house to decorate. No carving, but lots of googly eyes, pipe cleaner hair and cotton ball beards. My high school friend Kate and her family were in town. Her 3 kids are almost the exact same ages as ours. Jane and Emmett are 1 month apart. We met up Sunday morning at Wash Park for donuts and playtime.  Xander is 4 and lives across the street from us. Super Girl loves to swing! Finn wrote this after we got home from the farm to share with his class.

happy birthday sophia!

Sophia turned 4 yesterday! We celebrated with cupcakes with our neighbor friends last night. She made goodie bags for everyone in her class, and wore her fairy wings to school. Happy birthday my sweet girl! xoxoxox

emmett - 18 months old

Emmett had his 18 month check-up last week...weighed in at 25 pounds, 3 ounces and I have no idea how tall he was. Everyone comments on how big he is - he was in the 84th percentile for height and 64th for weight. He got two shots and was very pissed about it. Other than that, it was pretty uneventful! He has his annual cardiology appointment on Friday to check on his heart condition so fingers crossed everything goes smoothly there, too.  He continues to be the friendliest and most easygoing kid ever. On the flights last weekend he was walking up and down the aisles saying "hiyeee" to everyone. He is talking more and more everyday - his favorites are whoa, wow, uh oh, mama, and he does this weird dance all the time where he spreads his legs and walks saying "oohh eee, oohh eee". None of us can figure out what the heck he is doing but he thinks it is hilarious. All of his teeth are coming in right now - his molars were first, and the rest are slowly popping throu...

papa's birthday at the farm

We surprised Papa this weekend and showed up at the farm to celebrate his 70th birthday. Sarah, Jess and Jen were all there with their kids so 10 kids under 10 made for a super fun and wild weekend. The kids had so much fun reconnecting with their cousins, it was really sweet to see them all together. Lots of pictures from the trip: On our way to the airport! We flew to Pittsburgh, then drove 3 hours. Kids all did great on the plane and in the car. Blowing up Peeps in the microwave with Lisa. Finn, Parker and Audrey thought this was amazing.  Climbed to the top of the field. The view was amazing and the fall colors were beautiful.  The view from the top. Noah and I got away for a little hike one afternoon.  In front of Papa and Grandma's fence. Audrey schooling Finn in hockey. The boys hanging in the yard. They were obsessed with this plastic snake and Nerf guns all weekend. Finally lost his first tooth! And he really lost it. We...

weekend full of family

We had the whole Harrison crew here this weekend! Amy is staying with us for a few weeks while she wedding hops throughout the month. She heads back to India in a week so Jane and Walter and my parents came out this weekend so we could all be together for a few days. We visited Red Rocks on Saturday evening. I can't believe Noah and I never made it out there for a show this summer. What an amazing place. Nay Nay and E reading some books. Emmett got pink eye on Thursday so Amy stayed home with him and took him to the zoo on Friday. He absolutely loved having one-on-one time. Poor kids always has a circus around him. Me and my girl at Red Rocks. There wasn't anything going on the night we went - except for Sophia dancing and singing Let It Go on stage.  Red Rocks Visitor Center My dad and I went to the Broncos game on Sunday. They pulled off a win!
