Christmas 2017

We spent Christmas here in San Diego and it was awesome! We were lucky enough to get a visit from my parents, had lots of veg time, went to every park and playground in San Diego, sleep in, stay up late and get some much needed downtime.  A trip to Michael's over school break is a must! My parents were a huge help the first week that school was out. The kids were all over San Diego. Natural History Museum with all the antlers.  We celebrated Christmas early with my parents.  The Holiday Inn at Windansea is the best! Pool, hot tub and amazing breakfast. :) Sophia got a lot of clothes and accessories for her American Girl Doll Camille.  Finnster got the next size up scooter. Bapa hard at work building Camille's table and chairs.  The breakfast! They lived for that pancake maker.  Sophia's Winter Sing was great - same show as last year when she was in TK but still so cute!  Winter nights at the beach are...

Weekly update

My sassy six year old on the way to school one day this week. It has been freezing in the mornings and she refuses to wear pants. Finally got her in a jean jacket.  Emmett has his Christmas program at school last Friday night. I think it was our 7th year there! It was adorable as always but he only stayed on stage for about 15 seconds. He literally looked around and then walked off. Not interested. His class however sang Away in a Manger, The Grinch and Jingle Bell Rock. We still have 1 year to nail it! One of the teachers grabbed him and stuck him on his shoulders. That, he loved. Cruisin' around the bike path this weekend. 3 going on 23.  The neighborhood Mr. Chalkboard with some words of wisdom. Sophia is really into having me braid her hair. She wants double braids or a french braid of a fish tail. This was a double braid knot :)  Went to the Christmas Festival at the farmers market this weekend. Mr. Holiday Spirit was stoked to see ...

December!

Another week has flown by. We got our tree, Advent calendar is in full effect (even though we forget to fill it almost every night), the Christmas lists are made and my parents get here in 10 days....yes! We broke the Santa news to Finn last weekend, too. His response was "I knew it" and I actually believe him. We told him he's now in on it with us and we have to make it special for Soph and Emmett. I've been dragging myself out of bed at 6am a few mornings a week to take a walk down to the beach. The sun is just coming up as I get down there and it's the BEST way to start a day.  Setting up the ole tree! Marc and Jess came over last weekend with the kids. We had a pretty epic dance party. Sophia and Grace were showing us some sweet moves.  La Jolla Christmas Parade was so much fun. The kids saw a lot of their buddies in the parade and of course Santa rounded it out.  Soph and Flo loved the marching bands and dancers.  Emmett REALLY l...
