our week in pictures

Sophia and I needed some one-on-one time today so we went to the rec center by her school to go swimming. She was VERY hesitant at first, not even wanting to go near the water. By the end she was begging me to take her down that waterslide again, again, again! I think we did it 20 times.  Soph riding her bike with daddy. I went on Finn's class field trip to the Denver Botanic Gardens last week. It's about a mile walk each way from their school to the Gardens and they did great. We walked there, toured the place and did a scavenger hunt and then stopped for lunch at Congress Park on the way back to school. Such a fun day. Marking off "red flowers" from the scavenger hunt list. In addition to high fives and blowing kisses, this is Emmett's latest trick. Falling to the ground crying when we say no. Drama!

some sunshine

It's been raining nonstop here - everything is so green. We got a break from it yesterday and finally had a warm, sunny day. We walked to Teller and let the kids run around on the playgrounds all morning. Finn had a playdate with Lilah yesterday and the rest of our weekend will be lazy. Painting with Lilah He's officially walking everywhere. He's fast and hardly falls. Terrible picture but I love that he's wearing Sophia's Frozen slippers. Chilling at the park Snacking, of course My first school picture of Finn since he was 2! I was so proud of him for dressing cute and cooperating for the picture.  Sophia with her new big girl princess bike!

Mother's Day 2015

We had a great weekend...Noah and I got out for a date on Friday night, we went to dinner with friends and kids last night and had a lovely little Mother's Day today. Noah and the kids made me breakfast, we lounged a bit and I got to a yoga class which I hadn't done in well over a year. Oh and there was a pretty massive snowstorm last night. This was last weekend: And this weekend: Sophia made me a sweet necklace with her thumbprint on it, and Finn gave me all kinds of standard homemade kindergarten goodies, including the above. Apparently I am awesome, cool, fun and crazy. I'll take it.

tellerpalooza and the rest of our weekend

Finn's school fundraiser was Saturday night at the Bluebird Theater. It was quite a party - almost 800 people there, live bands, pizza trucks, bake sale, lots of dancing and lots of crazy kids running around. The Teller school band performed along with a few local bands. It was really loud inside so Finn and Emmett were a little hesitant at first, but they both warmed up and at 8pm nobody wanted to leave. It was nice to meet a few more families from school and the neighborhood. Finn's school performance was last week also. It was a solar system theme - each kindergarten class performed a song on the stage. And guess what? Finnster wore a costume, got up on stage, sang his part which included coming forward with two other kids to the microphones, took a bow and waved to us in the crowd. We were so proud of him. I may have cried at the performance. Earth! This kid has been SO happy every since he's been healthy. He's off all of his medications except f...
