our weekend

She did it! She wore a dress! At almost 4 years old, I can safely say Soph has worn a dress once - to Jane's wedding. We shopped on Saturday and once she set her eyes on this Hello Kitty gem, she had to have it. She wore it to a birthday party yesterday and was totally adorable. And this one...got sick again this week, random fever for 4 days followed by a rash, he was diagnosed with roseola. A lovely virus you get once in your lifetime. At least we're over that one! Noah hung with him on Friday - lunch at Whole Foods: And my Finnster...looking like he's 6 going on 16 with his new summer haircut. We swapped out the CA plates for the CO ones and he worked that wrench like a master. Did all 8 screws while I watched. Noah was out running errands and Finn said to me, "mom, when dad is gone I have to do this kind of stuff." Noah's been teaching him well.

finn's ears

After two failed hearing tests at school this spring, Finn got tubes put in his ears. This morning we went to his follow up appointment, where he passed his hearing test with flying colors. Then it was off to Spanish camp at Denver International School where he'll be all week. So proud of him for trying so many new things this summer and amazed at how brave he's been, doing a lot of it without anyone he knows. Today when he came home he told us he made a friend..."I can't remember her name but she looks like Zoey from my school."

emmett - 15 months

Emmett is 15 months! Baby no more, this guy is a full-fledged toddler. He's walking, crawling up on furniture, standing on anything he can at the playground and desperately trying to keep up with Finn and Sophia. He is the first one up every morning and always in a great mood. He wolfs down a banana each morning, usually followed by an english muffin and more fruit. He can (still) eat. He only has 2 teeth and isn't saying much, but he is definitely vocal. He points and squawks at whatever it is he wants, he's in a bit of a hitting phase which he thinks is hilarious and has zero stranger danger - the kid loves everyone. He is very into giving high fives, hugs and open-mouth kisses. Couldn't love him any more.  Weighed in at 24 pounds, and 32.5 inches tall.

splash park

It was a hot weekend and after working for hours on the yard and house, we took the kids to Central Park to play for awhile. I didn't know they had water fountains so the kids weren't in their suits, but they didn't care. They were all soaked from head to toe before we left. The car ride home involved partially naked kids and wet undies. Emmett removed all pantry items yesterday and positioned them very carefully around the kitchen floor. He was so funny doing this. Then he put them all away.

4th of july in san diego

We spent 4th of July weekend back in SD and it was an amazing 5 days! So great to catch up with our friends - we loved every minute of being back but had to remember we were on vacation. :) It was nonstop fun, staying up late, eating out, drinking, beaching it, everything fun. We spent tons of time with the Lawrence family and Larry and Colleen, beached it all day on the 4th, did a double date with Marc and Jess, watched fireworks from the Villani's rooftop deck, park days at Liberty Station and Fanuel...here are some pics from the weekend. We will be back!! Little bubba got his own seat on the flight out.  Stylin'. Taking a nap in their old room. It was weird not seeing bunk beds in there but they liked sharing the queen :) Beach day with Emmy and Ryan! Zach and Emmett got to play one afternoon - they were adorable together. Fireworks! Late night for E who is always in bed by 7pm. Checking out Fanuel Park before our flight home. This is hi...
