Girls weekend!

My best buds from college came to visit me this weekend! It was amazing to be together again and of course we picked up right where we left off the last time we saw each other. I did my best to show them all the good spots in Colorado. We started with brunch and bottomless mimosas at Root Down, ventured out to Red Rocks, and caught a Rockies game on Friday night near our hotel. Best friends for over 20 years. How did we get so old?! The March for Babies walk was Saturday morning so we headed to my house to grab Noah and the kids, then walked to City Park to do the walk, or at least part of it. Three pairs of short legs and only two seats in the stroller made for some serious shortcuts. Year 7 of remembering our sweet Jackson. E and Noah After the walk, me and the girls headed up to Boulder for a rooftop lunch at Rio Grande, lots of shopping at the ped mall, some pool time and a great dinner at SALT.  One last pic on our balcony! We've already planne...

What we've been up to

A whole bunch of pics from the last two weeks. It was 80s and this weekend it snowed a foot. The weather here is truly nuts. Before we go to bed we always check on the kids and have found this a few times this week - Soph crawls into Emmett's crib and they are out cold.  Went to the library this weekend. Finn loves Magic Tree House and Nate the Great. He has finally caught the reading bug. Lots of togetherness yesterday as it snowed for 24+ hours!  Which made for lots of fun in the snow today. We made snow castle and sledded down our front yard. Finn and I went to the Nature & Science Museum this afternoon. They have a new Robotics exhibit which is pretty awesome. There's a robot who deals black jack, a self-driving car and a huge area where kids can build their own robots. Finn built one that drove and had a spinning flashlight. Last weekend - when it was hot and sunny! Still lovin' the superheroes and her India pants fro...

Emmett - 2 years old

Happy birthday Emmett! Bubba, I can't believe you're TWO. You blow my mind every day with your happiness and joy. You are such a BOY. You took another header this weekend, putting your tooth through your bottom lip but luckily no stitches this time. You're still such a lover and sweetie, but are starting to show your independence - "no, I do it!". You are the best bookend to our family and we couldn't love you more if we tried. Tito Rito, happy birthday!!

10 year anniversary trip to the Netherlands!

Noah and I figured ten years of marriage, 3 kids and 3 moves in the past 18 months warranted a trip to Europe! We were lucky enough to convince Didi and Bapa to babysit and spent five glorious days in Amsterdam. We left last Friday and arrived Saturday morning at 7am. We couldn't check in to our hotel until 11am so we explored the cute neighborhood around our hotel - Jordaan - for a few hours. There was an enormous farmers market happening, called the Noordemarket. They sold absolutely everything and it was packed with people. We walked 7 miles our first day there and at least 5 or 6 every day after that. The weather was chilly and rainy on and off the last couple of days, so we figured out the tram which was a lifesaver. Our hotel - Room Mate Aitana. Just one of the many pics I took at the market. The flowers and fresh produce and cheese were unbelievable.  This little shop, called Stach, was on a corner that we passed every day. They have windows and windows full of ...
