Wow, time is flying as usual and life is crazy as usual. Finn started first grade last Monday. His teacher is Miss Hurst and there's a good mix of his buddies from last  year in his new class. We went to Back to School night last week and saw his classroom, met a bunch more families and of course signed him up for some after-school activities. His school is amazing, I gotta say Noah did a great job picking it out. He had a great first week and is turning 7 this week! His school sits on the corner of this cross street and I have wanted to take a picture forever - finally did. It's been pretty hot here this past month - 90s most days. It is a "dry" heat but it's still fricken hot! The kids love the sprinklers every night. Noah got them pretty good with the hose last night. 

We had an awesome trip to Michigan to visit my family this past week. We flew to Chicago, then took a road trip up north. The kids were great travelers, despite having delays on the way out and the way home. We got a sweet minivan for our drive which was actually kind of amazing. We had lots of quality family time, went to an alpaca farm, picked blueberries and had some great beach days. Oh - and got in yet another trip to the ER for 2 stitches after Emmett face planted on a cement step. Me and Jane xo Still fits for a carry on. With our #1. Finn loved collecting rocks at the beach. Soph building a sand castle before the sun sets. She was so brave in the lake - went down the slide and out to the first dock with me and Noah. Pretty much sums up this kid in 1 photo. Katie and Jason came to visit us this weekend. It was so much fun and the kids get so excited when people come to see us - even if they don't know them! We took them to our go-to spot in Wash Park on Friday night - Homegrown - then went mini golfing on Saturday. Got a sitter Sat night so we could check out a Food & Wine Festival in Cherry Creek. Dinner on Fri night. We waited over an hour for a table. Thank god for corn hole and wine. Emmett was a MENACE on the golf course. They had a tiny putter just his size. Friends for almost 20 years! Cleaning out the car. Finn loves a good job and is so helpful lately. 

Another week has flown by! I can't believe Finn heads back to school in 3 weeks, this summer has gone way too fast. Miss Sophia had her end of year ceremony at school on Friday. They sang Coconut Soap and she got to cross the bridge to her next year. She has settled in to her class really well. All ready to perform :) Raiding the pantry as usual. He is doing everything he can to keep up with Finn and Sophia. He's going up and down stairs and was attempting to ride a scooter tonight. At 16 months! Officially into Minecraft! He built a house complete with a garden this weekend. My hospital signed a big deal w/the Broncos this week so we planned an employee celebration, complete with cheerleaders and Miles the mascot. I guess I have to become a Broncos fan??
