weekend in las vegas

Noah and I met Jen and Josh in Vegas last weekend for an early 40th bday celebration for Noah. It also happened to be Josh's bday that weekend. We had a blast and once again said, "why don't we do this more often?!?!" Poolside at Hard Rock Rise and shine boys. Downtown Las Vegas for the Life is Beautiful festival Saw a Minion and Olaf on the strip. Sophia was so impressed. Do you think this guy's parents are proud of him? Vegas is full of a little bit of everything.

weekend of birthday parties

We had a fun and busy weekend, went to three birthday parties between Sophia and Finn. Finn got to tour a candy factory and Sophia had her first experience at Lollipop Park, an indoor amusement park. She rode every ride and had an absolute blast.  Sick day on Friday didn't keep us from swinging in our Frozen dress. Riding the carousel with our neighbor, Sofia.  Emmett. People actually comment to us now, "wow, he looks like trouble".

Sophia, Phia, Bunny, Sugar Muffin

Miss Sophia has found her girly side. All of a sudden she loves to wear dresses and just got her first pair of light-up shoes. I think she's struggled a bit recently with all of the change so we're doing our best to make her feel super special.
Finn's birthday celebration has kind of continued on all week. He got a wallet from Aunt Jane and Walter and was so excited. Noah gave him $7 and his old Macy's card. Finn was in heaven. He got a chemistry set and was nice enough to share with Soph.  Mr. Emmett chillin' outside today. He turned 17 months old this week. He has picked up a few more words - mama, dada, shhh, and more are his favorites. He's as happy as always and is just so. much. fun. Sure did have a visitor today! I made cookies today and left a plate of them on the counter. This little guy chewed his way through our screen and Noah found him sitting on our kitchen counter munching on a chocolate chip cookie! It was fascinating and disgusting.

Finn's 7th birthday

The amazing Mr. Finn is 7 years old. Since his real birthday was on a school night, we celebrated with dinner at his favorite pizza spot, Fat Sully's, and then had a party today at a trampoline park. Ten buddies from school came, they jumped for hours, ate pizza and made ice cream sundaes. It was perfect. He's in his room alone doing Minecraft Legos before bed tonight (Sophia and Emmett share a room now). He is hitting a new phase of wanting privacy and independence, it's fun to see but makes me a little sad how much he's growing up. Love you THIS MUCH buddy. XO
