valentine's day weekend 2016

After traveling the second half of last week for work I was ready to do a whole lot of nothing this weekend. We hit up Snooze for family breakfast this morning, spent some time outside enjoying the 60 degree weather and all took naps today. She loves to swing finally. Forever she was terrified of the swings. She was singing at the top of her lungs "I can't believe I can flyyyyy" (to the tune of I Believe I Can Fly). Electric toothbrushes from Didi for V Day were a hit! Emmett laughs hysterically every time he uses his.  Bros being bros. Not sure what was happening here. Emmett got a potty for Christmas and this is the only way it's been used so far.

Crested Butte weekend trip

We took a road trip to Crested Butte this weekend. They got tons of snow in the last storm and it was piled high all through the town. The skiing was great and we had a great time exploring a new place. It's about 4-5 hours from Denver so a bit of a haul, but it was so worth the drive. The town was absolutely adorable. Finn and Soph did ski school on Saturday and Emmett went to daycare. Everyone was finally settled by 10am (after getting up at 6:30 to get ready!!) and we had 6 hours of skiing, lunch and drinking a couple beers before we had to pick everyone up. We stayed at a very cute bed & breakfast - we are officially a 2 hotel room family. We had adjoining rooms so kids in one and us in the other. They thought watching TV in bed was awesome. At the base of Crested Butte Ski Resort. It was a perfect day - cold, but sunny and no wind.  When we went to pick Sophia up she was practicing her wedge on the magic carpet. She was happy and very in love with Mr. Matt, her te...

What we've been up to

It's been cold and snowy! We got almost a foot of snow on Monday afternoon and the kids had a snow day on Tuesday. They got hours of TV in the morning and then Noah came home and we all went sledding. The hill by our house was absolutely packed with kids. We had so much fun. Emmett cried and cried, saying "brrrr" until I threw him on a sled with me and flew down the hill. He cried the first time, and then loved it after that. Sophia and Finn were both so brave. Noah build them a jump and they both flew over it on the sleds over and over again. Finn loves to shovel the sidewalk. Noah snowboarded a couple days over the weekend so Finn was the man of the house - shoveling so Sophia doesn't have to even walk on the snow. Ha! Sledding! I went to a fun wine tasting party with other Teller moms on Saturday night. This was the welcome to the party.  Story time! Oh Emmett.
