Thanksgiving 2015

Our family spent Thanksgiving in Denver this year. We cooked a full meal and of course two pumpkin pies. Everything was delish and everyone was in a food coma by about 7pm. We got a decent amount of snow on Thursday so we went sledding on Friday and then skied at Loveland on Saturday. We signed Finn and Sophia up for all-day ski school. Lots of tears, defiance and about a million dollars later they were all set up in their classes and Emmett was checked into the daycare and we actually got to ski for a few hours! It was so fun. I am so happy to not be snowboarding anymore :) Today is a lazy day with about a hundred loads of laundry to do. I'm going to the Broncos game tonight for work where we're attempting to set the Guinness World Record for most fake mustaches worn for men's health awareness (we ordered 80,000 orange mustaches). Never a dull day on the job.
My helpers for the carrots

Not so helpful but entertaining.

Ready for some dinner!!
Not happy about being cold.

We miss the beach for sure, but the mountains are pretty amazing.

Ready for ski school. She had a rough start but ended up riding the magic carpet all afternoon and especially liked coming inside for snacks and hot cocoa. She may be a lodge kind of girl, we'll see.

This kid surprised all of us. A little rough start as well, but skied almost all day and started working on turns.

Dunzo on the ride home. Traffic sucked so it was a good thing they were all tired.

At the base of Loveland.

We even got a mid-day beer at the mountain.

What we've been up to

It's been cold and snowy! We got almost a foot of snow on Monday afternoon and the kids had a snow day on Tuesday. They got hours of TV in the morning and then Noah came home and we all went sledding. The hill by our house was absolutely packed with kids. We had so much fun. Emmett cried and cried, saying "brrrr" until I threw him on a sled with me and flew down the hill. He cried the first time, and then loved it after that. Sophia and Finn were both so brave. Noah build them a jump and they both flew over it on the sleds over and over again. Finn loves to shovel the sidewalk. Noah snowboarded a couple days over the weekend so Finn was the man of the house - shoveling so Sophia doesn't have to even walk on the snow. Ha! Sledding! I went to a fun wine tasting party with other Teller moms on Saturday night. This was the welcome to the party.  Story time! Oh Emmett.

Sophia turns 5!

Our little bunny turned FIVE last week! I can't even believe it, a whole hand. She took lollies to school for her classmates, and then we had a party at La Jolla Rec Center on Sunday. Complete with a bounce house, pizza and a cake big enough to feed at least 100 people. Seriously, the cake was ridiculous. Apparently I ordered a full sheet instead of a quarter or a half. Oooopsies. I think five is gonna be a great year for Soph. She has made lots of new friends and is so happy to go to school everyday. I'm so happy she's in TK, she is loving it. She got a new bike from us, and lots of cool art stuff from friends, and her first Barbie! She also got another Wonder Woman costume from Nay Nay, thank goodness. Cruisin' on her new ride. Now we just have to get rid of those training wheels.  The actual night of her birthday she requested pasta so we went to Filipi's in PB. Hadn't been there in at least a decade and it did not disappoint. The waitstaff sang her ...

Our trip to Croatia

Helloooo! Well, we've had a few things going on so the blog has been neglected. But I want to post pictures from our last two trips this summer - Croatia and Italy. The first week of August, we flew to Split, Croatia and stayed there for a night at an Airbnb. Split is a big city with a great downtown area full of outdoor cafes, a huge jewelry market and is a main port to a whole bunch of Croatian islands. We spent 5 amazing days in Croatia - we absolutely loved this place. Gorgeous scenery, friendly people, very touristy with people from all over the world and inexpensive.  One of the many beaches in Split...     Noah bought a sweet raft for the kids. He about passed out blowing it up. Afternoon at the beach. Me and Finnster looking for a lunch spot. Sophia became a little fish this summer. She loved all the hotel pools and lakes/oceans/seas we came across. She met a friend this day, Thea, who we played with at the beach all day and then coinciden...
