Christmas 2017

We spent Christmas here in San Diego and it was awesome! We were lucky enough to get a visit from my parents, had lots of veg time, went to every park and playground in San Diego, sleep in, stay up late and get some much needed downtime.

A trip to Michael's over school break is a must!

My parents were a huge help the first week that school was out. The kids were all over San Diego. Natural History Museum with all the antlers.

We celebrated Christmas early with my parents.

The Holiday Inn at Windansea is the best! Pool, hot tub and amazing breakfast. :)

Sophia got a lot of clothes and accessories for her American Girl Doll Camille.

Finnster got the next size up scooter.

Bapa hard at work building Camille's table and chairs.

The breakfast! They lived for that pancake maker.

Sophia's Winter Sing was great - same show as last year when she was in TK but still so cute!

Winter nights at the beach are perfection.

Marine Street with Florence and Lola. Finn looks pretty good with a dog :)

We had a great beach day last weekend - it was warm and we made a beach snowman.

Headbandz with Didi

We had an adults night out with my parents and Maryann and Ryan. The night started with pretty much the most amazing Uber driver ever, we hit up Ballast Point in Little Italy, then Zucchero for dessert, then a ride home with our sweet driver.

A day in LJ Village. We took my parents to Burger Lounge and then down to see the seals.

It sure is.

Me and my Bubba.

This was Christmas Eve. We had a fun one with just the 5 of us...fighting with boogie boards, a hike at Mission Trails and went to see the lights at Christmas Card Lane.

Sophia the baker.

Our first time to Mission Trails.

Leaving cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.

Sophia wrote the letter.

Emmett at the rec center. We have spent a whole lotta time here over the past week.

Soph and Flo! At it again.

Finn got a new desk for his room. I was thinking about how he will be TEN next year. Getting so grown up it's hard to believe.

We got a giant chair/bean bag thing for the living room which is just the coziest.

Mancala! Sophia's favorite gift for sure.

Uhhh, we got a ginormous tent which is currently in the dining room. The kids have slept in it the past two nights. It's pretty awesome.

Mr. Emmett. Pretty much the sweetest kid in the universe. He thinks it's hilarious to kiss on the lips so I course indulge him.

One more from Little Italy - the girls in the big red chair. So fun.

What we've been up to

It's been cold and snowy! We got almost a foot of snow on Monday afternoon and the kids had a snow day on Tuesday. They got hours of TV in the morning and then Noah came home and we all went sledding. The hill by our house was absolutely packed with kids. We had so much fun. Emmett cried and cried, saying "brrrr" until I threw him on a sled with me and flew down the hill. He cried the first time, and then loved it after that. Sophia and Finn were both so brave. Noah build them a jump and they both flew over it on the sleds over and over again. Finn loves to shovel the sidewalk. Noah snowboarded a couple days over the weekend so Finn was the man of the house - shoveling so Sophia doesn't have to even walk on the snow. Ha! Sledding! I went to a fun wine tasting party with other Teller moms on Saturday night. This was the welcome to the party.  Story time! Oh Emmett.

Sophia turns 5!

Our little bunny turned FIVE last week! I can't even believe it, a whole hand. She took lollies to school for her classmates, and then we had a party at La Jolla Rec Center on Sunday. Complete with a bounce house, pizza and a cake big enough to feed at least 100 people. Seriously, the cake was ridiculous. Apparently I ordered a full sheet instead of a quarter or a half. Oooopsies. I think five is gonna be a great year for Soph. She has made lots of new friends and is so happy to go to school everyday. I'm so happy she's in TK, she is loving it. She got a new bike from us, and lots of cool art stuff from friends, and her first Barbie! She also got another Wonder Woman costume from Nay Nay, thank goodness. Cruisin' on her new ride. Now we just have to get rid of those training wheels.  The actual night of her birthday she requested pasta so we went to Filipi's in PB. Hadn't been there in at least a decade and it did not disappoint. The waitstaff sang her ...

Our trip to Croatia

Helloooo! Well, we've had a few things going on so the blog has been neglected. But I want to post pictures from our last two trips this summer - Croatia and Italy. The first week of August, we flew to Split, Croatia and stayed there for a night at an Airbnb. Split is a big city with a great downtown area full of outdoor cafes, a huge jewelry market and is a main port to a whole bunch of Croatian islands. We spent 5 amazing days in Croatia - we absolutely loved this place. Gorgeous scenery, friendly people, very touristy with people from all over the world and inexpensive.  One of the many beaches in Split...     Noah bought a sweet raft for the kids. He about passed out blowing it up. Afternoon at the beach. Me and Finnster looking for a lunch spot. Sophia became a little fish this summer. She loved all the hotel pools and lakes/oceans/seas we came across. She met a friend this day, Thea, who we played with at the beach all day and then coinciden...
