Spring Break 2017

No glamorous spring break trips this year but we got a visit from didi and bapa for 10 days! Noah and I got to do a weekend away, Emmett got to go on an overnight hotel trip alone, lots of trips to parks and playgrounds, a morning at the aquarium, a day at Legoland, Easter crafts, daily scooter rides on the bike path, out for ice cream, a few days at camp and an early bday celebration at Belmont Park. Wow it's been a busy week! Oh and of course an after hours visit to the pediatrician. For Emmett. And today Finn's  home with the flu. Ugh I'm so ready for cold/flu season to be over!! I didn't get a single good pic of all of us, but here's a recap of mostly Emmett and my dad :)
We celebrated E's THIRD birthday yesterday. All he wanted was an Oreo cake so that's what the kid got!

Emmett sure loves his Bapa. Oh, hi mom! Only picture I got of you all week :) 

Opening presents. He got a sleeping bag and everything else was either superheroes or sports related. He (and Sophia) were in heaven!

Batman!

These two rode this ride at Belmont over and over again. It goes slow and then absolutely whips around the corner. At first Emmett was almost crying, but Sophia was cracking up so he started getting into it.

Basketball Batman! He got a bball hoop, soccer net, soccer ball and cones. 

The weather couldn't have been better all week - beautiful day at the Birch Aquarium.

Super excited about being at a hotel without his brother or sister :) What a fun week. Thanks for coming mom and dad and for ALL of your endless help. XOXOXOX

What we've been up to

It's been cold and snowy! We got almost a foot of snow on Monday afternoon and the kids had a snow day on Tuesday. They got hours of TV in the morning and then Noah came home and we all went sledding. The hill by our house was absolutely packed with kids. We had so much fun. Emmett cried and cried, saying "brrrr" until I threw him on a sled with me and flew down the hill. He cried the first time, and then loved it after that. Sophia and Finn were both so brave. Noah build them a jump and they both flew over it on the sleds over and over again. Finn loves to shovel the sidewalk. Noah snowboarded a couple days over the weekend so Finn was the man of the house - shoveling so Sophia doesn't have to even walk on the snow. Ha! Sledding! I went to a fun wine tasting party with other Teller moms on Saturday night. This was the welcome to the party.  Story time! Oh Emmett.

Sophia turns 5!

Our little bunny turned FIVE last week! I can't even believe it, a whole hand. She took lollies to school for her classmates, and then we had a party at La Jolla Rec Center on Sunday. Complete with a bounce house, pizza and a cake big enough to feed at least 100 people. Seriously, the cake was ridiculous. Apparently I ordered a full sheet instead of a quarter or a half. Oooopsies. I think five is gonna be a great year for Soph. She has made lots of new friends and is so happy to go to school everyday. I'm so happy she's in TK, she is loving it. She got a new bike from us, and lots of cool art stuff from friends, and her first Barbie! She also got another Wonder Woman costume from Nay Nay, thank goodness. Cruisin' on her new ride. Now we just have to get rid of those training wheels.  The actual night of her birthday she requested pasta so we went to Filipi's in PB. Hadn't been there in at least a decade and it did not disappoint. The waitstaff sang her ...

Our trip to Croatia

Helloooo! Well, we've had a few things going on so the blog has been neglected. But I want to post pictures from our last two trips this summer - Croatia and Italy. The first week of August, we flew to Split, Croatia and stayed there for a night at an Airbnb. Split is a big city with a great downtown area full of outdoor cafes, a huge jewelry market and is a main port to a whole bunch of Croatian islands. We spent 5 amazing days in Croatia - we absolutely loved this place. Gorgeous scenery, friendly people, very touristy with people from all over the world and inexpensive.  One of the many beaches in Split...     Noah bought a sweet raft for the kids. He about passed out blowing it up. Afternoon at the beach. Me and Finnster looking for a lunch spot. Sophia became a little fish this summer. She loved all the hotel pools and lakes/oceans/seas we came across. She met a friend this day, Thea, who we played with at the beach all day and then coinciden...
