We spent Thanksgiving here in San Diego this year and it was amazing to have 5 days to be low key and mellow! I totally have the Sunday blues just thinking about going back to work and school tomorrow. But, only 3 weeks until Christmas break.
LJES had a family dance the week before Thanksgiving. We did dinner at Rubio's with Florence and Ryan, then headed to the dance.
Noah bought Soph a corsage at the dance which made her very happy!
Soph and Finn both had Thanksgiving performances in their classes. Sophia's class sang a few songs and taught us the Thanksgiving story. Finn's class did a few songs and each of them wrote and read a grateful poem.
It was a hot Thanksgiving this year! Between camp and the pool, we spent almost every day last week at the Y.
Playing at the park one night. The sunsets have been so beautiful.
We had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner at the McGregor house. This was their "savage" look. We had all the fixings and of course Santoro pumpkin pie.
Florence and Maryanne - the hostesses.
Mouth full of bun! :)
Besties, Soph and Flo
We spent Friday morning down at Windansea playing on the rocks and dodging the monster waves. One of them got us!
Family selfie!
Sophia's dog is slowly falling apart. This little pink dog came from one of those claw games many years ago and for some reason Soph just loves him. He came to Denver, Amsterdam (and all over Europe) and now back to San Diego. He sprouted a hole this weekend so I sewed him up. This was after dog's surgery. So happy!
Fun afternoon yesterday out and about downtown La Jolla. We got coffees and cookies, shopped in the bookstore and Gepetto's, walked to the cove and saw the seals, then settled at the Grand Colonial for chess and happy hour.
Noah was trying not to get his head stuck lol
Oh, we shopped at Francesca's! Unicorn hat, yesssss!
Everyone had to try it of course.
Finn has officially learned how to play chess. He was attempting to teach Soph yesterday. They did pretty well!
Took it way back today and spent the afternoon at good ole Fanuel Park. Such a great park/playground and I miss hanging there. There were kids who had set up a slime stand (like a lemonade stand) and were selling it for a buck a pop.
And that's a wrap - on to December!
